ConfigHub Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how ConfigHub (“App,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use the App, and what choices you have. By using the App, you acknowledge this Policy.
1. Who we are
The App is operated by the developer of ConfigHub / 参数管家. Contact: zhangxiaouse@163.com.
2. Information we process
| Category | Examples | Purpose | Where stored |
|---|---|---|---|
| Data you provide | Project names, notes, config names, SSH host/port/username/remote paths, edited file content, version notes, parameter annotations | Editing, sync, timelines, project management | On your device; if iCloud sync is on, in your private iCloud database |
| Credentials | SSH passwords you enter | Connect to servers you specify; optional iCloud backup for multi-device restore | System Keychain; optional records in private iCloud |
| App settings | Language, theme, passcode lock, Face ID/Touch ID toggle, iCloud sync toggle, sort preferences | Remember your preferences | On your device |
| Device & network (optional) | Local IP, Wi-Fi name (SSID, only when location permission is granted and the system allows), interface type | Display connection context in some screens | Used temporarily in memory; not sent to our servers |
| Purchases | Subscription/purchase status, transaction IDs (processed by Apple) | Verify membership benefits | Apple App Store; entitlement state cached on device |
| Feedback | Content you send by email or system share sheet | Support and product improvement | Your mail provider; our inbox |
We do not operate our own cloud servers to host your configuration file content. Remote read/write goes directly to servers you configure via SSH (except demo mode, which uses local sample data only).
3. iCloud and Apple services
If you enable “iCloud sync,” the following may be stored in Apple’s private CloudKit database (container: iCloud.com.aikejiao.ConfigFileEditor), subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy and iCloud terms:
- Structured project/config metadata (for cross-device discovery and import);
- Configuration file version snapshots (timeline) and notes;
- Parameter path annotations;
- Optional SSH password backup records linked to file identity.
You can turn off iCloud sync in the App or manage iCloud access in iOS Settings. Disabling sync stops new uploads; existing iCloud data must be managed or deleted through Apple’s tools.
4. On-device security
- Passcode lock: Optional app passcode you set; verification data is stored in the Keychain. We cannot read your plaintext passcode.
- Face ID / Touch ID: Provided by iOS; we do not collect or store biometric templates.
5. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App;
- Sync and restore iCloud data when you opt in;
- Validate subscriptions and membership;
- Respond to feedback;
- Comply with law, resolve disputes, and protect users and our rights.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your configuration content for advertising or profiling.
6. Sharing
We do not share personal information with third parties except:
- Apple: App Store, iCloud, CloudKit, Keychain, system APIs;
- Your servers: SSH transfers of content and credentials you choose to save (under your control);
- Legal requirements: To comply with applicable law, court orders, or lawful government requests;
- Protection: When reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats.
7. Retention
- Local data: until you delete items, uninstall the App, or clear app data;
- iCloud data: until you delete records in the App or iCloud, or discontinue iCloud;
- Keychain credentials: until you delete the related config or disable the feature;
- Support email: kept for a reasonable period, then deleted or anonymized.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, or withdraw consent. You can usually:
- Edit or delete projects, configs, timeline versions, and notes in the App;
- Disable iCloud sync and remove iCloud data;
- Revoke Location, Face ID, or other permissions in iOS Settings;
- Uninstall the App to remove local data (Keychain entries may need separate removal);
- Contact us at the email above for reasonable requests.
9. Children
The App is intended for adults managing remote servers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age. Contact us if you believe we have done so.
10. International transfers and security
iCloud data may be processed by Apple outside your country. We use reasonable safeguards (encrypted storage APIs, SSH/TLS where applicable), but no method is 100% secure. Protect your device and credentials.
Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable to compensate you for any loss arising from use of the App, iCloud, SSH connections, or your own actions—including data loss, disclosure, corruption, or other harm. See our Terms of Use for full disclaimers and limitations.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy and post the effective date on this page. Material changes may be communicated in the App. Please review this page periodically.
