ConfigHub Terms of Use
Welcome to ConfigHub (Chinese name: 参数管家, the “App”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are between the developer of the App (“we,” “us”) and you (“you,” “user”). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Description of the service
The App is a utility for iOS and iPadOS that lets you connect to remote servers you designate (e.g., via SSH) to view, edit, compare, and annotate configuration files (such as YAML, JSON, and delimited text). Optional features may include iCloud sync, configuration version timelines, parameter notes, local passcode and biometric lock, and paid membership. Available features are those actually offered in the App.
Demo mode: The App may offer a demo mode with sample data only. Demo mode does not write to real servers and must not replace proper procedures in production environments.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must meet the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, or use the App with parental consent where applicable.
- Purchases, subscriptions, and restore operations through the App Store are subject to Apple’s terms and policies.
- iCloud sync requires a valid Apple ID and iCloud; related data is stored in Apple’s iCloud services.
3. Your servers and data
- You may only connect to servers you are authorized to access. You are responsible for SSH credentials, keys, and file contents.
- Save, overwrite, delete, or similar actions performed through the App affect your servers directly. You are solely responsible for all outcomes and losses. We recommend backups before changes.
- You must not use the App for unlawful, infringing, or abusive purposes.
- Content you sync to iCloud must comply with applicable law and Apple’s terms.
4. Membership and payments
- Some features may be free or paid (including auto-renewing subscriptions and one-time purchases). Prices and benefits are as shown on the App Store at the time of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled in your Apple account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
- We may change membership benefits, pricing, or feature scope and will notify you where required by law or through reasonable in-app notice.
5. Intellectual property
The App, its UI, branding, and documentation (excluding content you create) are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, SUCCESSFUL REMOTE CONNECTIONS, CORRECT EDITS, OR DATA PRESERVATION.
YOU USE THE APP AT YOUR OWN RISK. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DATA LOSS OR CORRUPTION, MISCONFIGURATION, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOST REVENUE OR PROFITS, SERVER FAILURE, RECOVERY COSTS, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL), WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, AND EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH LOSS. WE ASSUME NO LIABILITY TO COMPENSATE YOU FOR ANY SUCH LOSS.
The same applies to losses caused by network issues, server failures, SSH misconfiguration, user error, loss or theft of your device, or interruptions of third-party services (including Apple, iCloud, or carriers), except where liability cannot be excluded by mandatory law.
7. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN ADDITION TO THE DISCLAIMERS ABOVE, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE APP.
8. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may restrict or terminate access if you breach these Terms. Provisions that by nature should survive (e.g., intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations, dispute resolution) will survive.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes may be communicated in the App. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the mainland People’s Republic of China (without regard to conflict-of-law rules), except where mandatory local law applies. Disputes shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation; failing that, either party may bring suit in a court of competent jurisdiction at the developer’s domicile, unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
